With over 2,500 pagodas in existence in the Bagan area, one can scoot around and choose one that catches your eye. There are no entrance fees, usually are empty and full of enchantment. If you are lucky, a few goats or brahma cows will join you and pasteur around. Feel free to take a book, some snacks and chill in a Pagoda for a while. You get to feel the space and history when you are relaxed and not in tourist-mode.
